To have a powerful voice in education legislation in Austin, TFT needs to have a powerful presence in the home districts of individual legislators.
TFT’s Legislative Liaison Network is the grassroots organization that makes our presence felt.
Legislative Liaisons take up-to-the-minute information and know-how supplied by TFT and use it to contact their local legislators — and get others to contact them — by phone, by fax, by letter, or in person, both at home and in Austin.
Liaisons tell legislators where we stand on the issues, ask for their support, and let them know that TFT members back home are watching how they vote in the Capitol.
